Vanessa Lim
Occupational Therapist - Vancouver
Vanessa earned her Master of Science Occupational Therapy (MSc.OT) at the University of Toronto, where she resided for 3 years and gained experiences working in community mental health, acute care, and pediatric brain injury rehabilitation. After moving back to her hometown of Vancouver, she began working in a variety of practice settings, including WorkSafeBC sponsored return to work programs and inpatient orthopaedic and prosthetic rehabilitation for the adult and older adult population.
Throughout her various professional experiences, Vanessa has developed an interest in several areas, including cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety and depression, complex seating and positioning, concussion, and advanced equipment and technology. She sees herself as a lifelong learner and enjoys studying and integrating innovative and evidence-based approaches into her clinical practice.
Vanessa believes that the best treatment plans are always created through collaboration between the client and clinician. She is passionate about encouraging clients to play an active role in their recovery journey and providing them with the right tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves.
When she is not at work, you can find Vanessa testing out new recipes in the kitchen, hanging out with her family and friends, and exploring a new corner of the world.
