Jennifer Day

Occupational Therapist - Vancouver

Jennifer Day is passionate about lifelong learning. She has an undergraduate degree in linguistics from the University of Victoria, a Masters in Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University, and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

Past work experience has focused on education and community engagement: training volunteers to work with children and youth with literacy needs, working with new immigrants as they navigate their lives in Canada, facilitating programs that engage young women in politics, and teaching international students about North American culture.

As an Occupational Therapist, Jennifer continues to focus on education and community engagement, but now through a healthcare lens. She has experience working with clients experiencing chronic/persistent pain, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She also has assisted clients with gradual return-to-work plans, ergonomic office setups up and more. She is particularly interested in Mindfulness as a therapy tool.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys making pottery, admiring architecture, and spending time in nature. Over the past several years she has been conquering her fear of water by learning to kayak!
