Join us for an action-packed night dedicated to learning and mastering some of the most valuable lumbar spine manual therapy techniques. This learning night aims to simplify these techniques and provide ample time to hone your hands-on skills. Structured with minimal didactic material, this night promotes lots of collaboration and practice opportunities with friends in a fun and engaging environment!

What we’ll Cover:

  • Review 3-5 key lumbar spine manual therapy techniques

  • Round-robin practice period for treatment techniques

  • Lots of chance for discussion and motor skill practice

What do Participants have to say?

I have loved the learning nights at Tall Tree! They are jam-packed with evidence-based information and clinical pearls. It’s great to have opportunities to discuss things in a group and practice hands-on skills. The lecture portions are pragmatic and succinct. Highly recommend!
— AJ
I have attended two learning nights at Tall Tree, one focused on the meniscus and one focused on cervico thoracic manual therapy. As a new PT graduate, this has been a fantastic experience. I have been able to increase my knowledge and my confidence in the application of my hands-on skills. The facilitators are very friendly, approachable, and evidence based and they create a supportive environment in which you are encouraged to fail, ask questions, and think critically. I have left both nights with a renewed sense of passion for my career and excitement to apply my latest learnings. I would highly recommend attending regardless of where you are in your career - you are sure to benefit

Mindfulness Series for Stress and Anxiety (Virtual 6-Week Series)

Mindfulness Series for Stress and Anxiety (Virtual 6-Week Series)

This 6-week live virtual series is meant for people looking to build more strategies and home practices to support stress management. No past experience in mindfulness is required.

What to Expect

It is the gold standard treatment for anxiety disorders. That means of all the evidence on treatments for anxiety, research tells us this is the best one!

The student becomes the master! The goal of CBT is to equip you with the tools so that when another wave of difficult times arise, you can come back to those tools all on your own. These are tools for life!

What’s the catch? There’s HOMEWORK! Homework is a key component of CBT because as adults, we learn by doing. So every week, we go try out our new skill in the world and come back to share our wins and problem solve any road blocks.

    • (10 min) Brief Check-in - This is your chance to share what’s gone well and any stuck points with the group as you try to implement in-the-moment and at-home practices between sessions!

    • (20 min)Education - Then we spend about 20 minutes going through a presentation.

    • (5 min) Breathwork - Each session we learn a different type of breath work that has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and other physiological markers like blood pressure and heart rate.

    • (20 min)All Levels Trauma-Informed Yoga - We move through 20-minutes of yoga that is suitable for any body and level of experience. No props needed.

    • (10-20 min) Meditation - We try out a new meditation exercise every week, which can be experienced lying down, sitting in a chair, or sitting in the traditional cross legged position.

  • Cassi Starc, Occupational Therapist, combines her background with psychotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga to bring you a special six-week series meant to deepen your knowledge and practice of yoga and mindfulness to improve your mental wellness.

  • What you share is completely up to you. You can choose to have your camera on or off, to participate in discussion using the chat or speaking up to any degree that you would like.

  • Yes! You are invited to try out the new breathing exercise and meditation exercise before we meet again. We also review some informal or in-the-moment practices you might try out. Video and audio resources are shared in a weekly email to support you in your home practice.
