After taking a career break as a Chartered Professional Accountant, Colleen took the time to focus on her Pilates Certification training and started teaching Mat Pilates 2 years ago.
Colleen spent several years training as a long distance runner competing in relay races, half and full marathons. For more than 10 years, Colleen has also been a dedicated student of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics and dance. Intense physical activities and training schedules led to some setbacks that put her on the path to Pilates. She was drawn to Pilates due to its emphasis on technique and the focus on Mindful Breath linked with Movement. Colleen loves that Pilates can be done by Any Body no matter one's fitness level and is passionate about sharing her Pilates knowledge with those around her.
Colleen is a dedicated practitioner and 'forever-student' focused on completing her Comprehensive Pilates Certification later this year.
In sessions with Colleen, she believes that if you are enjoying your workout, you will keep at it. Her goal is to share her passion for movement and attention to form and to provide a welcoming environment where clients of all ages and abilities could work on improving their health and fitness. Clients can expect a thorough yet fun approach during each session while they improve body awareness, confidence, and strength.
When she is not on the mat you can find Colleen on the golf course, in the dance studio or spending time with friends and family.
