Matt has been practicing physiotherapy for over 5 years and continues to be inspired by the adaptability and resiliency of the human body. He uses an evidence-based and goal oriented treatment approach including education, exercise, manual therapy, dry needling (IMS) and coaching. He loves learning about his patient’s “life story” to better treat them as a person rather than an injury.

Matt has taken numerous continuing education courses focussing on the assessment and treatment of the neck, low back and shoulder. To upskill his manual therapy practice, Matt completed an intensive 18-month certification program through Evidence in Motion in the US. He has further extended his scope to include the management of mTBI (concussion) and vestibular disorders.

Matt is an avid marathon runner who hopes to one day qualify for the Boston Marathon. In 2023 he suffered a foot injury playing soccer requiring multiple surgeries and time away from running. During his own rehab journey, Matt dedicated himself to becoming a “running nerd” by taking courses on running-related injuries and performance coaching. Matt loves treating runners because he understands the important role it can play in a person’s quality of life and wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic walls, Matt enjoys playing soccer and tennis, surfing, disc golfing, hiking and walking his part-time corgi named Leonard. He is also an avid bookworm and lover of historical fiction. Matt’s happy place is up at his cabin on Keats Island with friends and family.

Lynita discovered her passion for rehabilitation and physiotherapy after tearing her ACL during her third year studying psychology at Queen’s University. Following months of excellent physiotherapist-guided rehabilitation, she returned to play in Canada’s National Ringette League (NRL), which inspired her to pursue a Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC) to help others recover. At UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health, Lynita collaborated on projects related to tendon healing, chronic pain, and patient education, with her work published in peer-reviewed journals. Wanting to work directly with patients, she then pursued a second Masters in Physical Therapy at UBC. Through her studies and extensive experience as a PT, Lynita has developed impressive skills, particularly in sport-related injuries, post-operative rehab, concussion, chronic pain, and geriatric rehabilitation, staying current with the latest clinical research to provide the best possible care.

Lynita has been an athlete all her life, competing in ringette from the club level to international competitions. She has also coached elite teams across the Lower Mainland, showcasing her dedication and expertise in the sport. She has experience providing on-field coverage as a Sports First Responder for ringette, basketball, hockey, volleyball, and rugby. While Lynita has ample experience working with athletes, she loves working with people of all abilities and experience; her treatment approach is heavily rooted in both education and functional exercise, which she combines with manual therapy and IMS (intramuscular stimulation).

On the weekends, you’ll still find Lynita at an ice rink, proudly representing British Columbia in the NRL. During the off-season, she’ll likely be making her way up a North Shore mountain, spending time amongst the tall trees in the forests she grew up exploring.
